Always read the ingredients before taking this or any other medication to ensure that there are no elements that may elicit an allergic reaction.
Do not take Generic Luvox if you are allergic to fluvoxamine or if you are taking the following medications:
thioridazine, tizanidine, alosetron, ramelteon, or pimozide.
Do not mix Generic Luvox with MAO inhibitors such as:
- furazolidone, selegiline, isocarboxazid, rasagiline, phenelzine, or tranylcypromine.
- Patients must wait at least 14 days after their last treatment of MAO inhibitors before taking Generic Luvox.
- Likewise, patients must wait 14 days before taking MAO inhibitors after treatment of Generic Luvox.
Consult a doctor if you are taking any nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) to relief pain, fever, arthritis or swelling before combining it with Generic Luvox.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any medications that induce drowsiness before combining them with Generic Luvox. These medications may include: sleeping pills, cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, muscle relaxers, sedatives and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety.
Inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medications before adding Generic Luvox to your treatment:
heart or blood pressure medications, medicine to treat psychiatric disorders, diuretics (water pill), antidepressants, migraine headache medication, sedatives, St. John's wort, methadone, lithium, tramadol, seizure medication, warfarin, and tryptophan (also called L-tryptophan).
Always inform your doctor of any medications you are taking (including vitamins and herbal supplements) before embarking on a new treatment. Additional medications not listen here may interact negatively with your medication.
