Combining Generic Paxil with certain medications may have fatal results. Do not take MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within 2 weeks before or after taking Generic Paxil and avoid taking thioridazine within 5 weeks before or after taking the medication.
It is not recommended to combine Generic Paxil with weight management medications (sibutramine, phentermine), thioridazine, astemizole or terfenadine. Notify your medical specialist about other medications you are taking, especially: SSRI antidepressants (citalopram, fluoxetine), trazodone, tramadol, nefazodone, "triptan" migraine drugs (sumatriptan, zolmitriptan), venlafaxine, tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline, nortriptyline), digoxin, cimetidine, propafenone, flecainide, clozapine, lithium, "blood thinners" (warfarin), tryptophan, herbal/natural products (melatonin, ayahuasca, St John's wort), theophylline, sleeping pills, sedatives, anti- anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (codeine), tranquilizers, anti-seizure drugs (carbamazepine), psychiatric medicines (phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine), certain antihistamines (diphenhydramine) and muscle relaxants, dofetilide, sotalol, quinidine, pimozide, sparfloxacin, "water pills" (diuretics such as furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide) and procainamide.
